ESFM has an opening for a full-time Janitor position.

Location

Medtronic - 60 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, CT 06473. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements

Prior janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.

Pay Rate

$17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and return them to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors in accordance with all guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to team efforts and maintain professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
