• We are hiring immediately for full-time JANITOR positions.
• Location: MTSU - 1642 MTSU Boulevard, Murfreesboro, TN 37132. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 12:30 pm. More details provided upon interview.
• Requirement: No prior experience required.
• Pay Range: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and replaces furniture correctly.
• Uses assigned materials and equipment to clean assigned areas, sanitizing all surfaces and following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Identifies areas needing cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpets.
• Contributes to team efforts and exhibits professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
