Job summary

HQC QUALITY CLEANING LLC in California seeks a dedicated Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety of the building. You’ll vacuum, mop, scrub restrooms, shampoo carpets, and handle basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and taking out trash.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and experience with cleaning equipment and supplies. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of janitorial experience, and reliable transportation to the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of janitorial experience is preferred.
• Driver’s license or reliable transportation to the worksite is required.
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment.
• Excellent stamina and physical health; able to perform manual tasks.
• Must be a hard worker with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash daily.
• Clean windows, shampoo carpets, replace light bulbs, stock restrooms, and perform minor repairs regularly.
• Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees.
• Secure the building by locking doors after cleaning is complete.
• Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs.
