The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Bozeman, MT is seeking a reliable Janitor/Driver to maintain a clean, safe workplace and assist with pickups and deliveries. This part-time, non-exempt role requires a valid driver's license and a minimum of three years driving experience.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, vehicle upkeep, and supporting meeting-room setup. Candidates should be team-oriented, punctual, and aligned with our mission.

Qualificações

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, common areas and other spaces.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Drive an authorized organization vehicle for errands and deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow safety procedures and traffic laws; assist with meeting room setup and cleanup.
• Cover rental groups as needed.

Job Title: Janitor/Driver

FLSA Status: Part Time - non-exempt

Reports to: Location Officer

Schedule: 20 Hours/week Monday, Thursday, Saturday

Supervises: N/A

Rate of Pay: $19.00 USD

Closing Date: 12/01/26

Benefits: Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

• Sick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.)
• Vacation benefit - 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385 hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment; vacation accrual is pro-rated for part time hours.)
• Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service) with at least 21 hours worked per week.

The Janitor / Driver is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting with work-related errands, pickups, and deliveries as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning and restroom supplies.
• Perform basic upkeep and report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Drive an authorized organization vehicle to complete work-related errands, including picking up supplies, delivering materials, and transporting documents.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles and report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and traffic laws.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up meeting rooms or work areas as needed.
• Cover rental groups as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience, Skills, Qualities, Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of driving experience required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with organizational requirements.
• Previous janitorial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and follow instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.

• The employee must be 21 years old at a minimum (for insurance provision) and possess a valid in-state driver's license
• An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies

  • Ability to maneuver, to remain in a stationary position, to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead, to lift 25 pounds, to access and produce information from the computer, to operate a telephone, to understand written information
