The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary depending on client specifications and require flexibility.

Pay Rate: $17.00

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Empty and clean all waste containers. Remove waste paper and garbage from the premises to the designated area; damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean all ash trays, monitor sand urn supplies, and restore sand as needed.
• Dust all image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceiling and air condition diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and ventilating louvers.
• Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and clean office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces.
• Wipe and buff all metal hardware fixtures and bright work.
• Clean and polish tile floor surfaces as required.
• Damp wipe and buff glass furnishings.
• Clean entry door glass indoors and on the outer surface.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, light switches, and glass dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum if carpeted.
• Clean floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a janitorial role.
