Hunting Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated Janitor to join our Fryeburg, ME team. You will maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming workplace by performing cleaning and sanitation tasks to high standards.

The role requires efficient time management and willingness to work with a dedicated group in a pristine, climate-controlled facility. On-site presence is essential, with opportunities to contribute to a strong company culture.

Qualifications

• No prior janitorial experience required.
• Must be able to work onsite in Fryeburg, ME.
• May require nights and weekends if production schedules demand.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms using established practices.
• Dust furniture, sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and empty trash.
• Assist with setup for meetings, classrooms, and events.
• Strip, buff, and seal hard floors; vacuum carpets.
• Operate cleaning equipment and hand tools safely.
• Work from ladders when required and follow chemical instructions.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed.
• Wash windows and blinds; launder rags and dust mops.
• Clear snow, ice, or debris within sixteen feet of buildings.
• Lock/unlock buildings and secure premises; report issues.
• Escort external contractors if necessary.
• May require night/weekend shifts; perform other duties as requested.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures.
• Clean and dust furniture, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, empty and clean trash receptacles, refill restroom dispensers, and replace light bulbs.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
• Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpets.
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Safely work from a ladder when required for the task.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use only as directed.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies or tools on a regular basis.
• Wash accessible interior and exterior windows, clean blinds, launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
• Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow, ice or debris from sidewalks, stairs, and roof tops in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
• Lock and unlock assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
• May be required to escort outside contractors and assist where necessary.
• May require nights and weekends where production work restrictions exist.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor.
