CW Resources is hiring custodial staff in the St. Louis area. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The role emphasizes a team-focused approach, safety, and reliability in routine cleaning tasks across commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Check in with your supervisor and teammates to review the cleaning plan for the day.
• Load up cleaning supplies and begin assigned area.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as directed.
• Take out trash and replace bags.
• Clean restrooms, restock supplies, wipe tables, doors, and surfaces.
• Dust furniture, shelves, and vents.
• Wipe windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Walk through area to ensure neatness before finish.
• Return tools and supplies to storage and prepare for tomorrow.

A Day in the Life of a Janitor/Custodian at CW Resources:

• Start your day by checking in with your supervisor and teammates to go over the cleaning plan and what needs to be done that day.
• Grab your cleaning supplies – like mops, brooms, vacuums, and disinfectants – and load up if you need to.
• When you get to your assigned area, you’ll get started by:
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the floors.
• Taking out the trash and putting in fresh bags.
• Cleaning restrooms, refilling supplies, and wiping down tables, chairs, doors, and more.
• Dusting furniture, shelves, and vents.
• Wiping windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Before finishing your shift, you’ll walk through the area one last time to make sure everything looks clean and neat.
• Finally, return your tools and supplies to the storage area and get ready for tomorrow.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout your shift to clean and maintain different areas.
• Repetitive motions such as mopping, sweeping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies weighing up to 25–30 pounds regularly.
• Navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven flooring safely while carrying tools or supplies.
• Work is primarily indoors in commercial buildings with varying temperature and lighting conditions.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and solvents – training is provided to ensure safe handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is always required.
• Possible exposure to dust, dirt, allergens, and other typical indoor environmental factors.
• May encounter biohazardous materials or bodily fluids (especially in healthcare or public restrooms) with proper safety protocols and PPE in place.
• Working in confined or awkward spaces such as under sinks, behind furniture, or inside equipment areas may be required.
• Noise from vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other cleaning machinery may be present; hearing protection provided when necessary.
