Job summary

GDI Services, Inc. is seeking a diligent on-site janitorial associate for an evening shift in Alsip, IL. You will perform floor cleaning, waxing, carpet care, and general building maintenance to ensure a clean, safe environment for occupants.

Responsibilities include restroom sanitization, dusting, and restocking supplies, with the ability to work independently and maintain high integrity throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Strip and wax floors, carpet extraction and spot removal.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment as needed (buffer, walk-behind, carpet cleaners).
• Use Tennant ride-on scrubbers (T-7, M-17, M20) and maintain equipment.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, replenish dispensers, and sanitize surfaces.
• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and windows; keep areas tidy.
• Mix cleaning solutions per specifications and keep supplies stocked.
• Complete tasks promptly with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties

• Clean floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Strip/wax floors, carpet extraction, carpet spot removal
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Expertise of use and care for Tennant Rife on equipment T-7 . M-17 and M20 ride on scrubbers
• General cleaning of buildings, keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Empty wastebaskets and take other trash to disposal areas.
• Sanitize restrooms and fill dispensers.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Spot clean glass partitions, window blinds and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, woodwork, window stills, equipment and other assigned areas.
• Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervision.
