Job summary

Phoenix House in New York is seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team at an adolescent residential substance abuse treatment facility. You will perform a full range of custodial duties to maintain a clean, safe environment for clients and staff.

Responsibilities include restroom sanitation, floor care, dusting, waste management, and room setup for meetings. This role requires physical stamina and a year of custodial experience; benefits support health and well-being.

  • Minimum of one year experience in a custodial role.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; wash windows, mirrors and walls; clean and sanitize showers as assigned.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures; clean desks and counter tops.
  • Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles; pick up papers and other debris.
  • Move and arrange furniture and equipment and set up rooms for conferences and meetings.
  • Replace lights and adjust shades and blinds.
  • Regulate ventilation and temperature; clean air vents as required.

You Will Have Responsibilities Including But Not Limited To
