Job summary

Husky Rack & Wire is seeking a janitorial worker in an industrial metals fabricating facility in North Carolina. The role involves cleaning duties, operating a Tennant floor scrubber, and lifting up to 50 lbs. OT on Fridays and Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

Hourly pay ranges from $17.87 to $19.21, with a schedule Monday through Thursday 5:00am–3:30pm and potential shifts as needed. Candidates should have at least 6 months janitorial experience and be capable of working from

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work from an elevated lift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility floors using a Tennant floor scrubber.
• Responsible for maintenance, charging, and cleaning of the scrubber.
• Maintain plant cafeteria including daily cleaning of floors, tables, microwaves, and trash removal.
• Monthly cleaning of all refrigerators and cafeteria windows.
• Maintain all in-plant offices including daily vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Monthly cleaning of all office windows; some windows require elevated platforms.
• Work with industrial cleaning solutions safely and in an environmentally acceptable manner.
• Maintain six plant restrooms including cleaning floors, toilets, and urinals twice daily; walls and stalls cleaned three times per week.
• Keep in-plant hand washing stations stocked and cleaned.
• Sweep and pick up trash in exterior break areas weekly.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Perform a wide range of cleaning duties in an industrial environment. This employee will be required to perform heavy cleaning duties in a metals fabricating facility. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as well as working from an elevated lift is required.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain the facility floors using a Tennant floor scrubber.
• Responsible for the maintenance, charging, and cleaning of the scrubber.
• Maintain plant cafeteria including daily cleaning of floors, tables, microwaves, and trash removal.
• Monthly cleaning of all refrigerators and cafeteria windows.
• Maintain all in plant offices including daily vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Monthly cleaning of all office windows. Some windows will require working from an elevated platform.
• Ability to work with industrial cleaning solutions in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner.
• Maintain six plant restrooms including cleaning of floors, toilets, and urinals twice daily. Walls, stalls and other areas are to be cleaned 3 times per week.
• Maintain all in plant hand washing stations including cleaning sinks daily and ensuring soap, paper towels, eye glass cleaner, etc is full at all times.
• Maintain break areas outside of the facility including sweeping and picking up trash in these areas weekly.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Perform other similar duties as responsibilities necessitate or as assigned by supervisors.
