Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors and emptying trash, cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Your Opportunity

This position is responsible for keeping the interior and exterior of buildings clean and in orderly condition. Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors and emptying trash, cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Core Responsibilities

• Gather and empty office trash.

• Keep facility exterior clean and trash free. Empty all trash receptacles.

• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.

• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

• Proven working experience as a janitor, preferred.

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery

• Strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

• Integrity and ability to work independently

• Must be able to read and write

• Can understand and follow verbal and written instructions

• Competent and trusting to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies
