Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a full-time sanitation associate to maintain cleanliness and safety across assigned areas in a cold-storage facility.

Responsibilities include dusting, scrubbing, mopping, and ensuring tidiness of kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and break rooms. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs with assistance and operate standard warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience in janitorial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of assigned area.
• Prioritize safety in all sanitation tasks.
• Clean areas may include kitchens, bathrooms, offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, etc.
• Dust, scrub, wipe tables/countertops, and ensure tidiness of all spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors with appropriate machinery.
• Move furniture/boxes as needed and empty trash cans.

The Job Details

• Responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work area.
• Keeps individual and facility safety at the forefront of their sanitation responsibilities.
• Assigned cleaning areas could consist of the kitchen, bathrooms, office, breakrooms, locker rooms, etc.
• Cleaning tasks could consist of, but are not limited to, dusting, scrubbing and cleaning restrooms, wiping down tables and countertops, and overall tidiness of the area.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Clean respected area using ladders, moving furniture, boxes, and equipment as needed.
• Empty trash cans.
