Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Saint Peters, MO is seeking a Warehouse Janitor responsible for daily cleanliness, operating an industrial sweeper and scrubber to keep floors dust-free, and supporting general maintenance.

The role requires reading/writing English, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and the flexibility to work overtime as needed; safety protocols and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No certification or licensure required.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must read, write and speak English; able to operate material handling equipment (MHE) as needed.
• Able to work overtime and in a diverse, potentially noisy indoor environment; attention to safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of warehouse floors and areas.
• Operate industrial sweeper and scrubber to maintain dust-free floors.
• Collect and empty trash from warehouse into dumpster/compactor.
• Clean 55-gallon warehouse trash cans as needed.
• Dust and detail clean racks, walls, stairs, doors, baler, compactor, etc.
• Bale or compact surplus cardboard and boxes as required.
• Perform dock work as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

The Janitor will be responsible for ensuring branch cleanliness and efficiency.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily cleanliness of warehouse and will require operation of an industrial sweeper and scrubber to keep the warehouse floors free of dust.
• Gather and empty trash from warehouse facility into dumpster/compactor.
• Clean 55-gallon warehouse trash cans as needed.
• Dust and detail clean racking, walls, stairs, doors, baler, compacter, etc.
• Compact surplus corrugated boxes in baler.
• Make boxes.
• Dock work as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification / Licensure: None
• Work Experience: None
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Proficient to read, write, and speak in English. Operate MHE as needed Ability to work overtime as needed and assist in other areas of the branch. Ability to work independently and in a diverse work environment. Indoor conditions, cold/hot temperature changes, wet, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust and mechanical/electrical/chemical hazards.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to move product, supplies, and boxes up to and over 75 lbs. repetitively Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity-near and far, depth perception, field of vision, color vision.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position: $16.00 - $23.25 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.

Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
