Job summary

Excel Facility Services is seeking a reliable part-time janitor in Paterson, NJ to maintain clean, orderly spaces across assigned locations. You will execute the scope of work, follow safety protocols, and report issues while supporting coverage needs.

The role emphasizes thorough cleaning, timely restocking, and adherence to attendance requirements. A positive, proactive approach and ability to work independently are valued as you contribute to a consistently safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms
• Clean counter tops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary
• Dust and clean cashier stalls, ceiling light fixtures
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, safe and operable condition
• Follow safety rules and use safety precautions
• Complete SOW as requested and assigned by the manager per location
• Perform general cleaning tasks throughout our building
• Restock supplies in areas assigned
• Maintains in attractive and clean condition areas assigned and notifies supervisor of necessary repairs of facilities and/or equipment
• Participates in workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
• Request to supervisor janitorial supplies for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities for daily use
• Ensure that the doors are locked at night
• Must use Time and Attendance system to report hours and payroll purposes
• Must complete IVR system if applicable or notify manager ASAP if any issues, not completing IVR to report services can affect hours paid
• Must always wear uniform and IDs while working.
