• Clean and disinfect sinks, toilet bowls, mirrors
• Check soap, paper towel and tissue dispensers daily
• Spot clean walls and ceiling
• Replace lights
• Clean window glass
• Clean chalkboards weekly
• Dust ledges
• Clean light surfaces
• Clean shades
• Sweep office carpets and floors
• Dust furniture surfaces and ledges

The Janitor is primarily responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, safe facility for students, staff and families, and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure to the school.

Expectations, Educational Requirements

• Prior experience in custodial / maintenance or a related field
• Prior experience in an elementary, middle, or secondary school setting
