Job summary

Agropur in Minnesota seeks a dependable Janitor to maintain a clean, safe production environment across all plant areas. This role follows the Master Sanitation Schedule and supports quality and food safety through diligent daily cleaning.

Starting wage is $18.66 per hour with two raises within a year, a first-shift schedule 7 AM–3:30 PM, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) contributions, PTO from day one, and opportunities for advancement and training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No experience required; in-housing training provided.
  • Clear communication, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules.
  • Work safely in all plant areas including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors.
  • Keep work area and janitorial supplies organized.
  • Report any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Complete paperwork to meet documentation requirements.
  • Assist in pest control program and monitoring.
  • Complete non-routine cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in training new janitorial team members.
  • Assist in snow removal during winter months.
  • Follow chemical safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Safety Protocol: Stop unsafe acts and follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules.

  • Perform work safely and efficiently in all areas of the plant including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors.

  • Ensure work area and janitorial supplies are properly organized and maintained.

  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.

  • Complete necessary paperwork to ensure all documentation requirements are met.

  • Assist in executing pest control program and monitoring facility.

  • Complete non-routine cleaning/sanitation tasks as assigned.

  • Assist in the training/mentoring of newly hired janitorial team members.

  • Assist in snow removal and management during winter months.

  • Adhere to chemical safety protocols and site PPE requirements.

  • Safety Protocol

  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

  • Support safety policies and programs.

The individual who will own this role:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
