Job summary

The Fechheimer Brothers is seeking an Entry-level Janitor/Building Maintenance worker for our Hodgenville plant in Hodgenville, KY. The role involves daily cleaning, floor care, restrooms, trash, and basic maintenance; you will help maintain a safe, orderly facility during day shifts.

Requires at least 1 year janitorial experience, High School diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 pounds, and knowledge of safe chemical handling. Salary range is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with no travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year janitorial or building maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds; good organization.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines when handling chemical cleaners.
• Comfort walking throughout the plant to clean and sweep.
• Sewing equipment maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sweeping around the plant.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Perform basic building maintenance and inspections as needed.
• Coordinate with local firms for regular building maintenance.
• Set and disarm building alarms.
• Maintain cleaning inventory and place orders when needed.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Position Description:

• Daily cleaning and sweeping around the plant
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Clean and maintain restrooms
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Basic building maintenance and inspections as needed
• Contact various local firms for regular building maintenance
• Setting and disarming building alarms
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Any other duties as assigned or needed

Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

• Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Infrequent standing and walking. Constant sitting.
• Gross Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation.

• Specialized sewing equipment maintenance is a plus
