Job summary

AVL Manufacturing in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Detailer/Janitor to maintain a clean, safe environment across the manufacturing facility, offices, and common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in a tidy workspace and follows all safety and sanitation standards to support daily operations.

Responsibilities include cleaning production areas, restrooms, and warehouses; organizing spaces; handling waste and recyclables; and reporting hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or janitorial roles preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic safety knowledge (WHMIS or OSHA a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production areas, offices, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove waste and recyclables from designated areas.
• Clean and detail equipment, machinery exteriors, and workstations as required.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and inventory; notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Assist with facility organization - moving pallets, tools, or materials as needed.
• Follow safety and hygiene procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Support general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant workplace.
• Report any damage, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly.
