Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to perform daily cleaning across classrooms, offices, restrooms and common areas, including sweeping, mopping and trash disposal.

You will maintain supply inventories and assist with periodic deep cleaning. The role requires adherence to safety policies when handling chemicals, flexibility to cover emergencies, and a valid Mississippi driver license; high school diploma or GED preferred with custodial experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred and one year custodial or related work experience preferred.

Job description

Daily cleaning of classrooms, office, bathrooms, and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying trash.Maintain an inventory control of all cleaning supplies.Seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance of building interior and exterior (i.e. Floor waxing, carpet cleaning, pressure wash building).Ensure that safety and health procedures are followed as directed by established policies and procedures when storing and using chemicals, specifically, conduct daily walk-through of facility and playground areas to assure all potential dangerous/hazardous materials are removed and/or stored in locked cabinets or in secured storage areas separate from medications and foods and are accessible only to authorized staff ; monitor facility and grounds for compliance as appropriate.Perform routine inspections and regular up keep of interior and exterior areas to ensure areas are free of safety hazards, trash, weeds and other foreign materials.Perform regular upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscaped beds, play grounds and parking lots, to include weeding, trash and litter removal required to keep areas clean, neat and safe.Assist with moving office and classroom furniture, fixtures and equipment to support staffing changes, relocations, remodels, program expansion and custodial requirements.High School diploma or GED preferred and one year custodial or related work experience preferred.Must have scheduling flexibility to include availability to perform occasional emergency services outside of assigned work hours.Valid MS Driver's License.
