• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, cafeterias, and other common areas.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, stalls, and fixtures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash bins and recycling containers; replace liners as needed.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Report repair or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
• Assist with minor tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, or touch-up painting.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure spaces are clean, orderly, and safe.

Janitor (Bilingual – Spanish/English Required)

Location: Chicago, IL 60655
Schedule: Two (2) Full-Time Positions Available Monday – Friday, 5:00 pm – 1:00 am
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 COE

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, cafeterias, and other common areas.

Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, stalls, and fixtures.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize high-touch surfaces.

Empty trash bins and recycling containers; replace liners as needed.

Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.

Maintenance & Inspections:

Report repair or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.

Assist with minor tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, or touch-up painting.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure spaces are clean, orderly, and safe.

Groundskeeping & Setup:

Keep entryways, walkways, and outdoor areas free of debris.

Assist with clearing snow, leaves, or trash as needed.

Help prepare rooms for events, activities, or meetings by arranging furniture and equipment.

Supply Management:

Monitor and restock janitorial and restroom supplies.

Maintain a clean and organized supply storage area.

Communicate supply needs to the supervisor for ordering.

Safety & Security:

Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment.

Report any safety hazards or security concerns immediately.

Support emergency drills or procedures as directed.
