Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is seeking a part-time Janitor at the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients. The role supports daily operations by ensuring cleanliness and safety standards in all assigned areas.

The position requires custodial experience, knowledge of cleaning products, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Training and teamwork are emphasized, with the shift from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and pay at $17.17

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or janitorial work.
• Knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, break rooms, libraries, kitchenettes/pantries, locker rooms, showers, stairwells, elevators, escalators, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep and mop floors with appropriate tools and equipment.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Polish metal fixtures, fittings, and trimmings.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Replenish restroom and janitorial supplies as needed.
• Produce consistent, high-quality work in all assigned areas.
• Follow Didlake policies related to conduct, safety, and professionalism.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and according to guidelines.
• Complete and maintain all required Didlake training.

Requirements

What You Bring

You bring previous custodial or janitorial experience, knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Dependability, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively with people with disabilities are essential.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED; OR
• At least six (6) months of previous custodial or janitorial work experience.
