Job summary

Adelante Development Center, Inc. seeks a dependable Janitorial Associate to perform cleaning and basic administrative duties across our Albuquerque facilities. You will work under the Janitorial Crew Lead to keep restrooms, floors, and common areas clean and safe.

The role includes a $1,250 Hiring Bonus, a full-time schedule Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00 pm to 12:00 am, and the need to pass a background check. A high school diploma is preferred; 2–3 years custodial experience is recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Three years general work experience preferred.
• Two years custodial work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English to understand procedures.

General Description of Duties:

Position is responsible for performing various janitorial and administrative duties as assigned by the Janitorial Crew Lead. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs various hands-on cleaning tasks and administrative duties as assigned.
• Cleans restrooms to include toilets, stalls, mirrors, partitions, restocks bathroom items, and removes trash.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, hard surface floors. Cleans carpeted areas with vacuums, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Ensures grounds and sidewalks are free of trash, and debris. Removes and disposes of bulk trash from grounds and buildings.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and horizontal surfaces. Performs minor assembly, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks on various janitorial equipment.
• Reports complaints from customers, and needed repairs to equipment, to supervisor for resolution. May recommend cleaning procedure changes. Ability to provide direct services to adults with disabilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay:

Job Type: Full-Time (Wednesday thru Saturday) 1:00pm - 12:00am

Pay From: $17.75per hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Three (3) years general work experience preferred.
• Two years custodial work experience preferred.
• Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.

Other Requirements:

Must pass a drug screening and a government background check. Must have reliable transportation. Must pass background check and drug screening. Must have insurable driving record to drive company vehicles. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate required equipment continuously. Must be able to squat, reach above shoulder(s), kneel, push, pull, carry and lift 25 lbs. frequently. Must be able to crawl, climb 5 ft., crouch, and balance occasionally.
