Jail Operations Support plays a crucial role in providing services within the adult jail facility. This position is a non-security position that supports all jail operational efforts but does not directly supervise inmates. This position requires a strong commitment to regulations and procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment.

Position includes working nights, holidays, and weekends.

Annual Salary: $44,396 – $48,620 *Additional salary growth available through regular increases within the classification up to $61,299

Responsibilities

• 1. Medication Administration:
  • o Accurately administer prescribed medications to inmates following established protocols.
  • o Document medication administration and any observed side effects.
  • o Report adverse reactions promptly to nursing staff.
• 2. Operational Support:
  • o Assist in various areas of the jail on an as needed basis.
  • o Train for security control operation, records entry, and court records management.
  • o Assist with deliveries, procurement, and logistics for the facility.
  • o Assist with internal operational functions.
• 3. Emergency Response:
  • o Assist during emergencies within the facility.
  • o Follow emergency protocols and provide immediate support as directed.
  • o Work closely with security staff, medical staff, and administrative staff.
  • o Communicate effectively with team members and facility staff.
• 5. Security Awareness:
  • o Understand security protocols and maintain situational awareness while working in a correctional setting.
  • o Follow safety guidelines to prevent incidents.
