Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. seeks a JADC2 Tactical Data Links (TDL) Architect in Huntsville, AL. This role supports the PMO within PAE Fires, integrating tactical edge tracks into JADC2 data fabrics through design, development, acquisition, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment.

The candidate interfaces with internal PMs and external organizations to synchronize objectives. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in TDL, deep defense industry knowledge, and active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in TDL, particularly within defense or aerospace industries.
• Knowledge of Link 16 (MIL-STD-6016), JREAP-C (MIL-STD-3011), IBCS Plug-and-Fight, and FAAD C2 interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and defense requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous experience working in a U.S. Government Program Office (required).
• Travel: 25%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and leadership in TDL across the system lifecycle (design, development, acquisition, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment).
• Specify and verify the implementation of Link 16, JREAP-C, and IBCS messaging standards within the C2 router.
• Ensure interoperability with Joint air defense grids (FAAD C2, AF DCGS, Navy AEGIS/MADIS).
• Resolve message standard discrepancies between coalition and service-specific nodes.
• Develop and maintain the Tactical Datalink Gateway Module, the Joint Interoperability Matrix, and Link 16/JREAP-C Validation Reports.
• Ensure compliance with defense and industry standards by managing TDL processes effectively.
• Interface with internal teams and external organizations to coordinate TDL objectives and strategies.
• Prepare and present TDL findings, reports, and improvement plans to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct strategic planning and coordination to support program objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to peer and subordinate engineers within the TDL team.
• Use digital tools and methodologies to manage cost, schedule, and performance for assigned activities.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer and/or Product Manager.
