Job summary

Dorothy Lane Market is hiring a Jack’s Grill Cook for our upcoming Mason location. You’ll grill meats and seafood, serve guests with energy, and keep the grill area clean and safe.

We value folks who love food, enjoy great service, and live by our Team Values: Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working. Prior grill/line cook experience and flexible scheduling are a plus.

Qualifications

• Food safety expertise required.
• Experience as grill cook or line cook preferred.
• Willingness to learn and taste great food.
• Commitment to DLM Team Values: Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working.
• Previous customer service experience a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and grill meats, seafood, and vegetables to perfection.
• Serve customers with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the grill area and department.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met throughout service.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Within the DLM Meat and Seafood department, our Jack’s Grill serves as a destination where customers can enjoy items from a carefully curated menu, or enjoy any of our proteins grilled to perfection. As we prepare for our upcoming location in Mason, Ohio, we’re seeking a passionate and skilled candidate to be our next Jack’s Grill Cook. If you love people and good food, join us in making The DLM Experience come alive in Mason.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and grill meats, seafood and vegetables to perfection.
• Serve customers with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the department.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at every step.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A desire to make folks happy by providing Honestly Better® Food and Service.
• Food safety expertise.
• A willingness to learn about and taste great food.
• A willingness to practice theDLM Team Values:Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working
• Previous experience as a grill cook or line cook.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• 18 years old or older.
• Holiday and weekend schedule availability.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time.
