Base pay range
$14.81/hr - $18.50/hr
Position Summary
Responsible for managing restaurant operations alongside or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Ensures effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary duties include providing excellent service, building sales and profit, and ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Internal Service: Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate staff; monitor staffing; ensure training systems are followed; develop internal candidates for management; promote a positive, friendly, clean, and safe environment; treat employees with respect; motivate and recognize performance; ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- External Service: Oversee daily operations to ensure excellent guest experiences; train employees; respond to guest concerns; maintain food quality and restaurant cleanliness; serve as a role model for guest service.
- Higher Profits: Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to analyze performance metrics; identify trends; develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability; monitor costs and adherence to budgets.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager internally, or 3+ years as an Assistant Manager externally with some P&L responsibility.
- Must be 18+, ServSafe certified, and complete Assistant Manager training.
- Effective communication skills in English; basic math skills; computer proficiency; valid driver’s license and insurance; ability to lift 10-65 lbs; physical ability to stand and walk most of the shift.
