Position Title: J3 E&I Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $46.37/hour
Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (12-hour rotating shift)
Rotating 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) on a 28 day rotation swinging from nights to days weekly – 36 hours one week, 48 the next week (8 hours built in OT every check). A total of 7 DAY shifts, 7 NIGHT shifts, and 14 OFF shifts every 28 days.

The Job You Will Perform: This position supports International Paper’s Columbus Modified Fiber Plant (CMF), located in Columbus, Mississippi. CMF is a vital part of International Paper’s Global Cellulose Fibers Business. We are a converting operation that produces specialty fibers used in the production of diapers, filtration products, and other absorbent personal care products.
This is a J3 level E&I Technician position responsible for completing scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties, both as part of a team and independently. Duties include, but are not restricted to, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining 575V thru 2300V motor controls, 13.8kV electrical systems, relay logic, PLC systems, DCS and a variety of field instruments, analytical equipment, and final control elements.
