Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the IV Team at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on vascular access care across inpatient units, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and evidence-based practice.

The position requires a BSN and current RN licensure, with opportunities to perform ultrasound-guided IV insertions and manage various vascular devices. Normal schedule features 32 hours/week with rotating evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Experience with venipuncture and IV therapy preferred.
• Ability to perform ultrasound-guided IV insertions if skilled.

Responsibilities

• Respond to vascular access requests across inpatient units.
• Insert and manage PIVs, midlines, PICCs, ports as trained.
• Educate patients and families on vascular access care.
