Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required; RN license active in Nebraska or compact state.
• Experience with venipuncture and IV therapy preferred.
• BLS certification preferred within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to vascular access requests across hospital departments.
• Insert and maintain PIVs; perform ultrasound-guided IV insertions if skilled.
• Insert and manage midline catheters when skilled.
• Insert and manage PICCs and port access per policy.
• Document procedures and patient outcomes in the EMR.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on catheter care and safety.
• Maintain safe technique and follow infection control procedures.
