Job summary

• Formal IV therapy training prior to administering IV push meds.
• Proficiency in pharmacology and patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care with a high degree of skill and minimal discomfort to patients.
• Administer medications and IV therapies within scope of practice.
• Document care in the patient’s record and transcribe orders.
• Assist physicians and other nursing staff during procedures and exams.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, and ensure infection control.
