Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Martin, TN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate nursing care on the evening shift. You will administer medications, assist with exams and procedures, and document care in the patient record under the supervision of the medical provider.

The role requires formal LPN training, Tennessee licensure, BLS, IV therapy training, and at least 6 months of LPN experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational school LPN program.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience as an LPN.
• Current Tennessee LPN license.
• BlS certification within orientation period.
• IV therapy training certification required before IV push.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and nursing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a designated group of patients under medical provider supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice.
• Document care in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and patient transfers.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the medical team.
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform CPR when needed.
• Maintain infection control and keep exam/procedure rooms clean and stocked.
• Complete patient assessments and coordinate referrals as required.
