Job Title: IV Technician (RN, Paramedic)

Role Overview
As an IV Technician, you will play a critical role in administering intravenous vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to clients, helping them optimize their health and well-being. This position requires strong venous access skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. IV Administration: Start and monitor IV therapy, ensuring safe and effective infusion
  2. Client Monitoring: Assess physical health, monitor vital signs, and observe responses to treatment
  3. Infection Control: Prevent and manage infections associated with IV therapy
  4. Assessment: Conduct physical evaluations, including mental status assessments, and identify contraindications to IV therapy
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, therapy services, assessments, and treatment responses
  6. Client Communication: Educate clients about their therapy, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable
  7. Additional Duties: Support clinic operations by performing other assigned tasks as needed
Qualifications
  1. Education/Certification: Must be credentialed as an RN (Registered Nurse) or EMT - Paramedic
  2. Experience: Minimum two years of experience in vascular access or IV infusion, with strong venous access skills
  3. Required Knowledge:
    1. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical practice functions
    2. Expertise in venous access, with the ability to access peripheral veins effectively
  4. Skills:
    1. Excellent intravenous catheter placement
    2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    3. Attention to detail and multitasking abilities
    4. Customer service-oriented with a commitment to patient confidentiality
    5. Self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively
    6. Problem-solving abilities and independent judgment
Working Conditions
  1. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10-6PM. Saturday 10-5PM. Three to four shifts per month required.
  2. Environment: General clinic setting with climate control and adequate lighting
