Central Admixture Pharmacy in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role requires a CA Pharmacy Technician License (or equivalent) and ideally PTCB/NHA ExCPT certification, plus a high school diploma. Schedule is 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends; overtime as needed. Salary range is $25.17–$28.65 per hour, onsite.”

Position Summary

Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required

• REQUIRED: Pharmacy Technician License issued by the CA Board of Pharmacy
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT
• High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.
• cGMP training/experience desired, training will be provided
• Aseptic processing training/experience desired, training will be provided.
• Schedule: (9am - 5:30pm) Monday-Friday with rotating weekends. Holidays/overtime as needed
• Salary range is $25.17 - $28.65/hr

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
