PharMerica is hiring a full-time Pharmacy IV Technician in Raleigh, NC. You will work in a non-retail, closed-door setting serving long-term care and senior living clients. The role includes training, advancement opportunities, shift differentials, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• 6 months - 1 year of IV Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile compounding room per USP 797 and state rules.
• Prepare and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents and high-risk patients.
• Support quality assurance and compliance documentation.
• Assist pharmacists with data entry, refills, and nursing home communications.
• Stage and fill medication orders accurately.
• Maintain and calibrate infusion pumps and sterile equipment.
• Replenish Emergency Drug Kits for facilities.
• Handle shipping/tracking of packages.
• Assist inventory, filing, phones, and stocking in IV dept.
• Collaborate with supervisors to keep a safe, compliant workplace.
• Report USP 797 compliance concerns promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
