PharMerica is hiring a full-time Pharmacy IV Technician in Grand Prairie, TX to join a closed-door, non-retail pharmacy serving long-term care and senior living facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license is required by state.
• 6 months–1 year of IV Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the Sterile Compounding Room per USP 797 and state standards.
• Prepare and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents.
• Support QA processes and ensure documentation compliance.
• Assist pharmacists with data entry, refill coordination, and communication with nursing homes.
• Stage, prepare, and fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and clean infusion pumps and sterile equipment; ensure proper calibration.
