Job summary

PharMerica, a closed-door pharmacy serving long-term care and senior living clients, is hiring a full-time IV Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will work in a non-retail environment, supporting sterile compounding and patient-specific preparations in a Class 100 cleanroom.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• 6 months to 1 year IV Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Detail oriented with good communication.
• Computer literacy and ability to identify medications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the sterile compounding room per USP 797 and state regulatory standards.
• Prepare and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents.
• Support QA processes and compliance.
• Assist pharmacists with data entry and refill coordination.
• Stage, prepare, and fill medication orders.
• Maintain infusion pumps and sterile equipment.
• Manage Emergency Drug Kits for facilities.
• Ship and track Alere packages via third-party providers.
• Support inventory, phones, and stocking in the IV department.
• Collaborate with Lead IV Technician and Pharmacy Supervisor.
• Report USP 797 compliance concerns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
