Job Description

As an IV Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for mixing IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques. You will adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, and procedures to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing, and other activities as required by applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797.
  • Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking drug items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR+ for the patient's profile when available.
  • Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards and maintain clean room logs.
  • Verify lot numbers and perform periodic checks in inventory.
  • Assist with On-Call responsibilities, as needed.
  • Complete competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter, focusing on familiarity and compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and patient/client care, complying with federal and state laws concerning protected health information (PHI) and electronic PHI, following HIPAA guidelines.

  • State registered as a pharmacy technician.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Articulate communication skills and comprehension of written and verbal communications.
  • Efficiency in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Computer skills required (Windows, Office).

Work Environment

You will be working in a Closed Door Pharmacy within a team of 5 people. The dress code is business casual. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with on-call responsibilities on weekends every three weeks.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
