Job summary

Universal Health Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (IV) to support pharmacists, nursing, and medical staff in safe, accurate medication administration.

Under supervision, technicians prepare and distribute medications, maintain inventory, and ensure records comply with state and federal regulations; technicians do not perform duties reserved for licensed pharmacists. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy prior to start.
• 1-2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.
• Demonstrates independent functioning.
• High school graduate or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and distributing medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain drug inventory and records.
• Follow standard written procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
