This position serves as the Title IV-E Program Manager, contributing to SSA's mission by directing and overseeing the administrative, fiscal, and programmatic operations of Maryland's Title IV-E program. This role leads staff and manages statewide initiatives across foster care, adoption, guardianship, and emerging prevention services to maximize federal funding, ensure statutory compliance, and align local service delivery with SSA strategic goals.
Education:A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience:Eight years of experience in administrative, professional ortechnical work, three years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development. Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required general experience. 2. Candidates may substitute additional professional ortechnical experience in the administration of a humanservices program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices andorganizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education. 3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces militaryservice experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer orhigher as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officerclassifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes inthe General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Servicesfield of work on a year-for-year basis for the requiredexperience and education, two yearsmust havebeen in an administrative supervisory or consultativecapacity.
