Infusion Pharmacy Technician (IV Certified) – Full Time | Irving, TX
Landmark Healthcare Inc. is looking for an IV-certified pharmacy technician to join our Home Infusion Pharmacy team. Schedule: Monday–Friday, full time. Some flexibility into the evenings is need.
What You'll Do
Sterile Compounding and Clean Room
- Prepare infusion medications using aseptic technique in an ISO-classified clean room, under the direct supervision of a Landmark pharmacist.
- Compound a range of home infusion therapies, such as IV antibiotics, TPN, and Inotropes.
- Calculate doses, volumes, and quantities; assemble solutions, mix components, and prepare labels.
- Fill and prepare elastomeric pumps, syringes, and IV bags for patient use.
- Follow proper hand hygiene and garbing procedures before entering the clean room.
- Complete required competency testing, including gloved fingertip sampling and media-fill testing.
- Stage completed products for pharmacist verification before dispensing.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and disinfection of the clean room, ante room, and primary engineering controls (laminar flow hoods and biological safety cabinets).
- Monitor and log room temperature, humidity, and pressure differentials, and report anything out of range.
- Support environmental monitoring, including air and surface sampling.
- Store and handle compounded products correctly, including refrigeration and cold-chain packing for delivery.
- Follow all cleaning protocols, infection control policies, and USP <797> standards.
Compliance
- Follow Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules, federal and Texas law, Joint Commission standards, and Landmark policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Current IV certification
- Hands-on sterile compounding experience in a clean room
- Working knowledge of USP <797>, IV products, and compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass a background check
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Must live within commuting distance of Irving, TX
