Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA is seeking a Pharmacy Tech IV for PRN coverage. You will handle admixtures of medications to IV solutions, and prepare unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications for the critical care and OR satellite areas, while maintaining stock and following SOPs.

You will work with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice, performing duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintains adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Follows standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Performs duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
