Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture) to join the Plano East location. The role involves IV preparation, medication compounding, inventory control, and data entry within a clinic admixture room under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate can be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience, with opportunities to grow as the department moves to a new facility. A comprehensive benefits package is offered along with a strong clinical team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level experience in a pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate recommended unless required by state law.
• I.V. skills experience preferred for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under physician supervision.
• Verifies patient information and physician authorization for orders.
• Admixture of drugs under supervision in accordance with guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Calculates dosage volumes and converts units as needed.
• Maintains temperature logs and protocol drug records; assists with inventory control.
• Supports in labeling, billing, and data entry in department automation.
