Job summary

AECOM in Dallas, TX, is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineer to support public- and private-sector transportation clients across Texas and the U.S. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on traffic engineering, ITS, CV/AV and emerging technologies.

You will lead technical tasks, develop designs, perform modeling with VISSIM, TransModeler, TransCAD, and coordinate with project teams across locations. A BA/BS in civil engineering with 4 years of experience is required; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in civil engineering plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Master’s degree preferred in civil/transportation engineering.
• Experience with VISSIM, TransModeler or TransCAD for modeling.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD for design.
• Experience with GIS and Python for transportation data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform technical tasks supporting ITS, traffic engineering and emerging transportation technology projects.
• Develop ITS system and device designs, analyses, evaluations and documentation.
• Support CV/AV projects, including transportation systems analysis, modeling and simulation.
• Perform traffic engineering studies, impact analyses, and operational assessments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams across locations.
