Core Natural Resources, Inc. is seeking an Underground Experienced Miner for the Itmann Mine #5 in Itmann, WV. The role focuses on the safe operation and maintenance of underground mining equipment and general labor support.

Responsibilities include promoting safety culture, producing coal safely and efficiently, inspecting for hazards, and working with teams to adapt to changing conditions within the mine. Candidates must meet physical demands and possess WV Miner’s Certification or obtain one.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Most possess a valid West Virginia Miner’s Certification, or be able to obtain one.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires.
• Must be able to work an entire shift rotation.
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment.
• Must possess effective critical thinking and comprehension skills.

Position Title: Underground Experienced Miner - WV

Department: Itmann Mine #5

Location: Itmann, WV

Position Summary: This position is an experienced level mining position and is assigned to underground mining operations. It will provide work directly to the safe operation of mining equipment, maintenance of equipment, and general labor support for all underground operations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be able to work as scheduled and arrive to the worksite promptly to receive work assignment and prepare for the start of the shift.
• Must be able to work on/near moving equipment as required by job
• Must be able to understand and grasp mining concepts and safety strategies
• Most possess a valid West Virginia Miner’s Certification, or be able to obtain one
