Job summary

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support Pre-K through transition ages across multiple school sites in Schaumburg, IL. This full-time itinerant role requires a licensed educator with VI endorsement and a Master’s degree, plus five years in schools.

You will lead, coach, and collaborate with families and staff, providing direct services and advocating for inclusive practices. Travel between campuses is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• A valid PEL with the appropriate endorsement for teaching students with visual impairments.
• At least five years of experience in a school-based setting.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills for supporting new and returning staff.
• Ability to collaborate with teams, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support peers in the Vision Related Services Department.
• Provide direct services to students across multiple grade levels.
• Promote best practices and use of available resources.
• Engage with families, teachers, and service teams to support student achievement.
