Qualifications

• Associate Degree or 48 college hours or ParaPro Praxis required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ (21+ for high school).
• Must agree to paraeducator training and sign language coursework if assigned to hearing-impaired classes.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional staff by reinforcing skills with individuals or small groups.
• Prepare instructional materials and adapt reading content for varied levels.
• Handle non-instructional duties like attendance, materials inventories, and lunchroom supervision.
• Assist with medical and personal care needs after proper training.
• Relieve teachers for conferences and emergencies as needed.
