Job summary

Solli ant is seeking an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support students across multiple schools near Battle Ground, WA for the full school year. You will travel between sites, provide direct and consultative DHH services, and help students access instruction and inclusion.

The role requires OSPI DHH endorsement and experience with ASL, cochlear implants, and FM systems. This contract offers competitive hourly pay and benefits, with healthcare and meals/housing options

Qualifications

• OSPI Certification with a DHH endorsement.
• Experience with cochlear implants, hearing aids, FM systems, and ASL.
• Ability to collaborate with general and special education staff, administrators, and families.
• Willingness to travel between multiple school sites weekly.
• Passion for advocating for students with diverse hearing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative services to DHH students in various school environments.
• Deliver individualized instruction to meet diverse learning styles and communication needs.
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and track student progress.
• Coordinate support services and accommodations to ensure accessibility for students.
• Offer training and resources to educational staff on best practices for serving DHH learners.
• Encourage family engagement and act as a liaison between home and school.
