Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools seeks an Itinerant Behavior Support Liaison to provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students with intensive needs across district schools. You will implement individualized supports, crisis safety plans, and de-escalation strategies in collaboration with teachers and specialists.

This 193-day role reports to the School Principal and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for this teaching-related role.
• Teaching certification BESE/LDOE preferred.
• Experience with students with behavioral challenges is highly desirable.
• Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies and maintain consistent expectations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with school staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Implement individualized behavior supports and crisis safety plans.
• Utilize de-escalation strategies and positive behavior supports.
• Maintain structured, safe learning environments across multiple school sites.
• Document behavior progress and coordinate with teachers and specialists.
