Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Change Management Engineer to design, implement, and govern ITIL-aligned change processes for mission-critical federal IT systems. You will evaluate requests, manage risk, secure approvals, and coordinate CAB activities to minimize disruption while ensuring auditability.

Collaborate with operations, cybersecurity, and development teams to integrate controls into release pipelines and to drive continuous improvements in change workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years in ITIL-based ITSM with at least 4 years focused on change management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL change management and controlled change execution.
• Experience evaluating change requests, coordinating with stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensuring clear documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with proactive risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ITIL-based change workflows—from intake to post-implementation review.
• Assess change requests for risk, priority, regulatory impact, and conflicts, guiding approval or escalation.
• Chair or support CAB meetings; prepare agendas and track actions for complex changes.
• Use ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar) to log, track, and report changes with audit trails.
• Develop policies, procedures, and communications to align teams in a regulated government environment.
• Monitor KPIs like change success rate and emergency changes; propose improvements.
