Job summary

• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to work in our Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama from Monday, June 7th, 2027, to Friday, July 30, 2027

Responsibilities

• Assists with engagement of cross-functional departments, stakeholders, clinical staff, technical resources, and vendors, to accomplish project tasks
• Assists with managing to deadlines
• Assists in requirements gathering and end user interviews.
• Assists with directing the design and development phases and overseeing testing completion
• Attends project team / project status meetings
• Assists with preparation of status updates and reports
• Assists with creation of required project artifacts and adheres to IT audit requirements
• Assists in the coordination of multiple aspects of project delivery.
• Protects sensitive information
• Participates in all intern-specific activities.

POSITION PURPOSE

TheITG PMO Intern works directly with the Encompass Health Information Technology Project Management Office. The intern is responsible for participating in and assisting a member or member(s) of the PMO on an IT project as well as maintaining and creating required deliverables. Activities may include reviewing or gathering information for a business case, reviewing/gathering requirements, participation in status meetings, testing, reporting, and maintaining project artifacts. The intern will gain an understanding of how Encompass Health ITG projects are executed to include standardized project management methodology, tools, templates, and audit requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be actively enrolled in a college or university and pursing a bachelor's in information technology/systems or a similar discipline
• Must have an interest in department in which they are interning
• Class experience in prospective field is preferred
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to work in our Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama from Monday, June 7th, 2027, to Friday, July 30, 2027
